Board Chairman Says Fort Wayne Will Not Answer on Voter Supremacy
By Rev. Jack Cascione

After giving written assurance on January 24th, 2000, that the entire faculty at Fort Wayne teaches Voter Supremacy to their students, the Chairman of the Board of Regents, Rev. David Anderson, states that the faculty will not give an answer on the issue in the following letter.

Dear Brother Herman,

Greetings in the name of our resurrected Savior!

In recent months you have printed many articles by the Rev. Jack Cascione (without any disclaimers), leaving people wondering whether you agree with him.

Where he finds the time to write all his nonsense is more than I can see, especially with the pressing concerns of being a parish pastor. One layman at the Lutheran Concerns meeting in Chicago, April 26-27, told him that he is tired of reading the drivel he sends to the Christian News every week. His attacks on the Fort Wayne Seminary (the finest seminary in the world, with the best faculty assembled anywhere) are making him a laughing stock in some quarters whether he realizes it or not. At least he had the decency to say that he regards Kurt Marquart "as Synod's finest theologian", yet he attacks him and the majority of the rest of the faculty.

The faculty met a couple of weeks back to discuss whether or not to respond to his attacks, and it was decided that he would never stop no matter what was said. Thus they resolved to let the matter drop without further comment. So his statement, "At this time, 6 of the 33 professors at Fort Wayne have agreed with Walther's Voter Supremacy" doesn't mean too much.

Praying for God's richest blessings upon you as you labor in the Lord's vineyard, I remain--

Your friend in Christ,

David L. Anderson
